By approaching only two subjects each term in a four-term academic year, our students are able to truly concentrate on the topics before them.
Our block approach allows students to spend several hours a day on each subject, giving them a chance to explore critical questions and deepen their understanding of complex topics.
We average only eight students a class – a structure that encourages classroom discussion rather than lectures and collaboration over competition.
We use DC as our classroom, getting out into the city frequently to complement and enhance our academic work.
Experiencing something different and new can be an enriching and challenging component of a high school student’s experience. We’ve teamed up with partners around the world to offer international programming designed for high school students.
We don’t stop learning when the weather gets hot. Every summer, Templeton Academy offers a variety of programs on topics like computer science, college essay writing, and Spanish.
In addition to our small classes, we also offer our courses one-on-one, giving each student a truly customized experience.
Sometimes a more self-directed and flexible option is needed to make sure students can continue their education in a way that accommodates their other activities.
As the world debates the importance of transparency in the admissions processes of our higher education institutions, we are stepping forward to share our application process with you directly. Check out our digital resource for a transparent look at our application priorities!
